Arise

'Rise"
30" x 40"
Oil on canvas

It's still wet so it has a glare and I couldn't move it to better light because it's like a magnet for cat dander.
If I could I'd vacuum seel my studio.
Probably not a good idea because of the vapors(or vipers).
Should probably just shave the cat...or move.

It's been niggling at me actually, a studio space somewhere else-downtown, or Hillcrest or near the border, somewhere away from distraction's, somewhere bigger were I can permanently exhibit, get in touch with the street so to speak, it somehow feel's more legitimate doesn't it-a studio address...
of course there's that little obstacle of paying for the overheads right now,but it could be fine, perhaps in a loft-though not in a lock up?

That's what I was doing three years ago-a converted garage in the burbs-winters were hard, summers were Hades.

'Rise' the title of this work is from a street in Hell, and I'm hoping that you can still see a semblance of beauty (Sharon Tate's) amongst the ugliness and darkness that envelops.

It strikes me that's all I'm ever asking.

That or for a cat that doesn't shed. Perhaps that's were I'll move-the shed.

Here's the pinhead ball of floof attempting to lay an egg.
