San Diego State University Screening Serial Killer Culture
My Man/son showcase is already three years young-hard to believe really.
That it continues to be my most popular and well known series, says something about the public's continuing fascination with the subject, and the none too paltry power of Netflix instant play.
Which is why I shall be honored to be attending a screening and subsequent panel for Serial Killer Culture, at San Diego State University on the 10th of April, alongside director John Borowski, Artist and publisher Hart Fisher, Criminologist Dr. Thomas Gitchoff, Head of SDSU Special Collections Robert Ray, and Federal Bureau of Prisons Retiree Joel Goodman.
Screening starts at 6:00pm at SDSU's Little Theater 161- $3 Students $5 Public.
There will also be an additional night to see the screening on the 11th of April, please note that I shall be unable to attend due to a former commitment

The Devil Tarot
Currently on my easel, is a commissioned work that will eventually be part of a Tarot deck, comprising 78 artists from around the globe.
It's their second such deck-this time with a nautical theme, and for whatever reason, they thought I'd be a good fit for El Diablo himself, so armed and mustered and stoked with fire, brimstone, shock and awe, here for your viewing pleasure is a sneak peak of me in Satan's service.
I look like I have a tail in this picture.

David Van Gough Interview on Taz
The superlative Italian online mag-Taz (short for the Art Zine) has included me amongst their six question coterie of artists. Anyway, its a splendid honor, and you can read my pithy elucidations here:

Magic, Myth and Lore at Bash Contemporary

I shall be premiering a new work for a superlative group show at Bash this coming Valentines day-which shall be a rather nice counterpoint I think to all the candy coated hearts and flowers.
Exploring a 'seedbed of possibilities from a contemporary perspective.' and 'the mystical and the consequences brought by evil while good seeks to prevail,' my piece-"Begat the Great Death and Resurrection Show", invokes the triumvirate spirit of Messianic entity, as a mere anecdote for premature existence.
The show opens February 14th at 5pm and runs through March 14th and includes members of the Copycat Violence: An Artist Collective along Sandra Sandy Yagi, Christopher Ulrich, David Van Gough, Jeff Christensen Artwork, Paolo Petrangelli, Hannah Yata, Julianna Menna, Mab Graves and Jean Pierre Arboleda. Contact info@bashcontemporary.com for enquiries.

The Bhudda of La Bodega
I missed the whole Skate culture thing first time around probably because cobbled Liverpool back entry's were not conducive to freewheeling forward motion, but moreover, because I was utterly crap at it.
That said, La Bodega just celebrated its auspicious one year opening, and perhaps in the spirit of putting one's best foot forward, they invited all the participants to mark the decks for the occasion. 'Buddha of La Bodega'-my contribution-is a sort of homage as well as a nod to my neighbor-the almighty zen master-the horned lizard "Buddha" who is the mascot there.
The show runs until 5th February

Six Page Interview in Serial Killer Quarterly
As delightfully diabolical as a sack of infant gizzards delivered by Krampus himself, is the Christmas edition of Serial Killer Quarterly, published by Grinning Man Press. Enough to curdle chilled eggnog by the fire, it features the most wretched deviants to stain the virgin white snow of humanity, oh and me also.
You can order a copy from the following link:

Snapshots from Studio V

Has it really been almost two months since my last update? Where have I been you ask?
I've
been at Studio V in La Bodega doing...well...you know, it'd probably be a lot easier for both of us
if you just saw for yourself. The pictures tell a far better tale than
words can at any rate.
'Oil and Blood'-11" x 14". Ink of Paper
Visit from world renowned Artist Vincent Castigli-now the owner of one of my Art pieces.
"Would this Monster make the Man"- 36" X 48" Oil on canvas, $3,500
Explaining the nuances of 'Osmosis', my most popular piece by far with female visitors.
'Poe Faced'-Mixed media on paper-11" x 14"
Talking about the 'God of Fuck'
With Base Jumper Clair Marie and her beau Alex
Finally, here's a rather lovely little write up about La Bodega including yours truly from the Daily Aztec.
